Some months are quiet. This one is not. Between new technology on our roads, young Ghanaians heading abroad to learn, and two major conferences in Accra, November 2026 is full of reasons to pay attention to where the country's digital economy is going. Here is a quick tour, with a practical thought for business owners on each.

1 November: TraffiTech-GH goes live
Digital cameras that detect speeding motorists were set to begin automated enforcement from Sunday 1 November, as reported by the Accra Tech Journal. Transport operators had earlier threatened a nationwide shutdown over the rollout, so expect continued debate about how it works in practice.
For your business: if you run vehicles or deliveries, check your drivers' habits and make sure your fleet records are in order. More of daily life is now recorded and enforced by software, and customers will expect the same accuracy from your own systems.
1 to 7 November: Huawei Seeds for the Future
Huawei Ghana and the Ministry of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations launched the 2026 edition of the programme. Ten students from universities including KNUST, the University of Ghana, GCTU, Central University, UPSA and KTU travel to Dongguan and Shenzhen in China to learn about AI, cloud computing and smart cities. Officials stressed developing young people who can build solutions and businesses, not only use technology.
For your business: the next generation of Ghanaian developers and designers is being trained now. Build relationships with universities, offer internships and look for fresh talent early.
16 to 18 November: Ghana Space Conference
Hosted at the NCA Tower in Airport City, Accra, the conference follows early talks between the Ghana Space Science and Technology Institute and the Navy on using satellite technology for maritime security. Space data touches farming, weather, mapping and logistics, not only defence.
For your business: location and satellite data will increasingly power everyday tools. If you work in agriculture, delivery or property, this is worth following.
24 and 25 November: Tech In Ghana 2026
Under the theme "From Ecosystem to Economy: Building the Industries of the Future", the summit at The Palms Convention Centre in Accra will cover finance, AI, digital infrastructure, education, creative industries, health and mobility. Organisers expect more than 500 attendees, including founders, corporate leaders, universities and government officials.
For your business: events like this are where partnerships, clients and hires begin. Go with a clear goal, such as "meet three potential partners", and follow up within a week.
The bigger picture
Earlier this month the same conversation was about risk: Ghana's cybercrime losses, shared at the CyberSecure Ghana conference, remind us that growth and security have to move together.
