The till that keeps selling offline, and shares every sale with the owner's dashboard when it can.

Where they started
A venue that sells drinks, rents rooms and hosts events needs a till that never stops:
The internet is not reliable, but a queue at the bar cannot wait for it.
Different staff need different powers. A cashier should not see reports or change prices.
One business, several terminals. Products, prices and staff have to match everywhere.
Receipts, stock and tax were separate chores instead of by-products of selling.
Hardware matters. Thermal printers and customer displays are part of the counter.
What we did
We built the POS as a local-first desktop app, so everything works without a connection and the cloud only shares the result:
Everything runs locally on an encrypted database. Sales, bookings, stock and expenses never wait for the network.
Background sync with the dashboard, with a loading screen while a newly paired terminal downloads the business.
Roles and page access are set in the dashboard and enforced on the till, with sign-in on any paired terminal.
Hardware support: COM-port thermal receipt printing and an LED customer display, plus a second customer-display window.
Stock counted from a ledger, expenses, Ghana tax rules and a cash count that checks the day's money against its sales.
Signed installers and self-updates: merging a new version builds Windows and macOS installers, and every terminal updates itself.
The Reports page draws the venue's money as charts the owner can read at a glance: net revenue, expenses and profit month by month, then sales split by category, by payment method and by brand.
It uses the same figures the dashboard shows, so the till and the owner's screen always agree.
1Three linesExpenses, net revenue and profit over the last six months.
2Monthly trendThe peak month stands out straight away.
3Sales by categoryEvents and pub, drinks, soft drinks and games.
4Payment distributionCash against mobile money, and card.
5Sales by brandWhich brands sell the most.
Taxes and GRA filing
Tax Management is built for Ghana Revenue Authority filing. It splits the month's takings into VAT, NHIL, GETFund and the tourism levy, each with its rate, the receipts it was collected on, and the net payable once input tax is taken off.
Four tabs cover GRA compliance, input tax, other taxes and tax settings, and a tax PDF is one click away.
1Export Tax PDFA tax report ready to file.
2Registered businessThe business details and tax number come from settings.
3Tax liabilityWhat is owed for the month so far.
4
Expenses
Expenses keeps the venue's recurring bills and one-off costs in one place, so the money going out is as visible as the money coming in.
Each expense source shows how often it bills, when the next bill is due, how many payments have been recorded and the amount. The cards above count the monthly commitment, what is unpaid and what is overdue.
1Three viewsExpense types, a payment log and financial insights.
2Monthly commitmentWhat the recurring bills add up to each month.
3OverdueAnything past its due date.
4
Document Studio
Document Studio produces the venue's official paperwork: invoices, receipts and letters. Each opens its own editor with a real-time A4 preview, branded with the business profile.
Recent documents are listed underneath, so one can be opened, duplicated or removed. Customer names and the tax number are blurred here.
1Business profileThe name, logo and tax number printed on every document.
2InvoiceBill a client with itemised details.
3ReceiptConfirm a payment received.

Audit logs
The audit log is an immutable record of what happened on the till: who signed in, on which terminal, which module they were in and what they did.
Stock adjustments describe themselves (sold one unit, stock 38 to 37), so a stock discrepancy can be traced to the sale that caused it. Older records move to an archive tab. Staff names are blurred here.
1Live recordsHow many entries the live log holds.
2Live, archive, sessionsRecent entries, older records and sign-in sessions.
